OCTOBER - NOVEMBER 2024
Not only does October mark the beginning of the festive season with a quarter of 2024 left to count down before year end, but it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month: a time when we turn our attention to this disease that affects so many women. Our message all of October is to be aware of breast cancer, to conduct breast self-examination and to book a mammogram if you’ve not had one in a while. Early detection saves lives!
November is firmly established in South Africa as Movember: the month when we turn our attention to cancers that affect men. SAA encourages all Voyager members to educate themselves around the issue of cancer, to take steps to beat cancer and to be there for those who need support while fighting this disease. May we all live long, healthy and happy lives.
World Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5 October 2024. The Voyager team’s appreciation goes out to all the great educators who make it their life's work to invest in the youth and ensure a bright future for all of South Africa.
On the SAA front we are proud to have grown the airline to 16 aircraft flying to 15 destinations. November brings more excitement for SAA as we will commence flights to Lubumbashi in the DRC from 4 November 2024, and to Tanzania in Dar es Salaam later this year.
With our year-end tiering process around the corner, we remind you that you do have until 31 December 2024 to reach the required tiering criteria to uptier and retain your Voyager status.
