South African Airways

Earn SAA Voyager miles at an accelerated rate when flying on SAA operated flights*, our members earn 1 mile for every R1.60 spent exclusively on South African Airways. Voyager members furthermore earn miles on SAA marketing flights**, and by flying with our airline partners, including the Star Alliance global network. Miles can also be earned on our non airline partners in categories ranging from travel-related to lifestyle, retail and financial services.

SAA and Star Alliance miles count towards Voyager Tier status.

Always ensure that you quote your unique SAA Voyager membership number during the booking process or at point of sale, in order for your miles to track systematically.

Kindly keep your original boarding pass and a copy of your e-ticket receipt or original invoices for non-airline partners until miles reflect on your mileage summary. Documentation for missing miles claims must be submitted 30 days before expiry of the required time frame for the relevant airline or partner.

*SAA operating flights are flights where SAA sells seats on SAA's own aircraft. SAA operating flights are typically identified by flight number range SA001 - SA999.

**SAA marketing flights are flights where SAA has entered into an agreement with another airline to sell seats on that airline partner's aircraft on specific routes. SAA marketing codeshare flights are typically identified by the 4-digit flight number.

The following tickets are not eligible for earning miles: Travel industry reduced rates, including tour operator tickets, unpublished fares, charter tickets and Voyager Award tickets. Compensation and sponsorship tickets.

Your miles should reflect on your mileage summary according to the below schedules:

SAA operated flights - SAA Voyager miles will be awarded per flown flight sector once the flight sector appears in our revenue accounting system. The accrual of revenue-based miles per flown flight sector of your ticket will be pro-rated per flight sector in relation to the total base fare and carrier imposed fees paid per ticket. Revenue-based accruals may take up to 15 days to reflect on your Voyager account.

SAA Marketing flights – SAA Voyager miles will be awarded according to the distance travelled and miles will reflect between 3 – 5 days after travel.
Airline Partner flights – SAA Voyager miles will be awarded according to distance travelled and miles will reflect 14 days after travel.
Non-airline Partners – SAA Voyager miles will be awarded according to each Partner’s accrual structure and will reflect between 7 and 45 days after transaction.

For missing miles please submit original boarding passes and copies of airline or e-tickets. Miles will not be honored without the relevant documentation.
Documentation must be submitted 30 days before expiry of the required time frame.

CAR RENTAL PARTNERS

• The individual Car rental Partner determines rates eligible for mileage credit and number of miles to be earned.
• Certain rates are not eligible for mileage credit e.g. promotion, special, corporate and industrial rates etc, please check with individual Partner.
• Miles are earned per rental and no miles are earned for additional cars paid for at the same time, irrespective of the number of Voyager members using the car.
• Quote your Voyager number when making the reservation and reconfirm when collecting the vehicle.
• Keep all transaction invoices until miles reflect on your mileage summary.
• Car rental Partners do not credit miles older than 6 months.
• Please allow 45 days for Partner activity to reflect on your mileage summary.

FINANCIAL PARTNERS

• The individual Financial Partner determines transactions eligible for mileage credit and number of miles to be earned.

CRUISES INTERNATIONAL

• Voyager members will only accrue miles after completing the journey/cruise - meaning if a cruise is booked and paid for, a member will not earn miles, but miles will only be allocated after a member has completed their journey/cruise
• Voyager members will also earn miles on cash portions when members purchase cruises with a combination of cash and miles
• Voyager member will have to quote their Voyager membership number at time of booking with Cruises International
• All cruise bookings to be done directly with Cruises International through their call centre on 011 327-0327 or online at www.cruises.co.za

HOTEL PARTNERS
